« Rain Corp is a multinational conglomerate involved in all modern industries. A leader in advanced robotics, Rain Corp is working “for a better future”. The company has developed revolutionary new military applications at the request of the world’s greatest powers.

Even before you start playing Rain Corp, you can tell that this will not be your regular escape game. An immersive introduction, a dizzying transition to the first room, an immediate sense of emergency with unusual tasks to perform – all of this in one of the largest escape room you will ever see! As is unfortunately all too often the case at Escaparium, our experience was slightly spoiled by a few technical problems: an object that got stuck instead of falling into the room, a machine that did not work properly, a very amusing hint-providing device that was a bit buggy… Despite those minor problems, this is an experience not to be missed by any fan of escape games in Montreal!

Immersion 5,0 stars
  • A very immersive and entertaing introduction by the gamemaster.
  • A gorgeous transition into the first room.
  • Very large rooms with spectacular decor.
  • A very attaching hint-providing device.
Puzzles 4,5 stars
  • Innovative puzzles in the first room.
  • Other puzzles are more classical but still quite satisfying.
Hosting 4,0 stars
  • An entertaining acting by the game master.
  • Too many small bugs that break the immersion.

Performance: Our team escaped with a few minutes left on the counter – close enough to the limit so that we would feel the adrenaline pumping, as it should!

Difficulty: This is a moderately difficult escape game.

At the same venue: I haven’t tried them yet, but Forgotten Cathedral and Wardrobe for Sale have received excellent reviews.

Elsewhere in the escape galaxy: The theme of course reminded me of AI’s martyrdom at Revo Escape in Toronto, which is not as visually spectaculor but richer in terms of scenario and puzzle originality.
